Our Place of Interest this month is Bellisseria Traveler’s Club. This is located on Ruthsburg, among scenic views of the nearby the lighthouse that has a fairy to/from the fairgrounds. Technically the building is a Winchester Traditional, but it has been converted to look Victorian. The interior is very inviting, completed with a few bars, a gaming room, a kitchen, a fireside lounge area, and even a bathroom where travelers can freshen up. They have a guestbook that you can sign, and offer several gifts that a traveler may find useful.
I sat down with Saphyre Cyberstar (one of the proprietors) to learn more about it.
Who owns the club and what motivated you/them to start this club?
“The club is owned by Saphyre Cyberstar (my alt) and Foneco Zuzu, my long-time partner in crime in SL. We both are avid Second Life travelers. We always keep our lands/places open to travelers and orb free, so that they have nice places to explore. We also keep an open Rez (up to the available land impact) for their convenience. Bellisseria makes that more challenging with the 351 land impact Limit, but we find a way to do so.”
What is the club’s primary purpose or mission?
“It is mainly a rest stop for travelers and explorers, who want to check out others' homes and get decorating ideas in Bellisseria. We also offer some gifts to make their traveling easier.” (More on gifts below.)
What made you choose this lovely location for the club?
“We used to be regulars on the Bellisseria boat parade, which did daily cruises parades through Bellisseria. The parade passes this spot on its way back to the fairgrounds. So when my alt landed it by chance, I knew it was a keeper.”
You have a very involved build, turning a small Winchester Traditional into a large and inviting clubhouse. What did you draw your inspiration from as you designed this place?
“When we acquired this spot we were shopping for Dream Victorians, which were in high demand at the time. I tried to build my own Victorian-style home in the traditional section of homes, as it was such a perfect location.”
Is there anything else you would like to say/share about the Traveler’s Club?
“Recently we started offering free vehicles for those travelers who may not be fortunate enough to have vehicles. We also offer a rez zone finder hud, which tells you if any available rez zones are located near you.
“To get these gifts, come in our main entrance. You will find a table with a guestbook -- (please feel free to sign it). The rez zone finder is on a little box next to the guestbook. The cabinet next to that is our mini-vehicle cabinet – just touch it and you will receive a fun selection of vehicles to try.
“Please remember that some of the vehicles will require more land impact than is allotted on private plots, so make sure to open the toys at a public rezzing area.”
Is there a URL so we can find it?

I discovered your place while out passport stamp hunting. I am a long time SL explorer and I really enjoyed your place. You have done a great job that there were so many little things to discover. And this isn't your only place is it? Seems like I discovered a little painter's shack somewhere too that was my personal favorite.
