Bridgeport Traditional Home
Bridgeport Landmark
For January we are going to focus on Traditional homes from our Parade of Homes list. We will start with Bridgeport, owned by Tess Tison and MazieBelle. This Trad is located in a really quaint and very scenic part of SL known as Oldridge. There is a canal running through this region, complete with several slightly arched bridges, giving a bit of a Venice Italy vibe.
The house itself is a Winchester, with a small add-on room that serves as a dining room. The exterior is adorned with several planters of roses. In addition, there are willow and leafy trees, ground covering, and flowers that collectively make a pleasant garden setting.
The living room has a comfortable sofa and a cozy fireplace, complete with a pot of hot chocolate and two mugs on the coffee table. It is very inviting.
The kitchen is the largest room in the house and looks amazing. There are vegetables on a cutting board, food cooking on the stove, and a coffee and pastry serving on the counter. I asked them why they chose to make the largest room in the house a kitchen instead of some other type of room. Their answer was, “Because we LOVE to cook.”
A small add-on room just off the kitchen serves the dining room. This room has a slew of windows and provides a lovely view of the garden yard.
The stairwell walls are lined with lots of photos and pictures. The staircase opens to a large bedroom area. There are double French doors opening to a large deck, overlooking flowers and willow trees. If you go up to the banister and look down, you can see there are two cats in the backyard.
The bedroom itself is a nautical theme, with a large king-sized bed, nightstands, and an oversized stuffed chair. There is a small reading area (e.g., a chair and table with lamp) in one corner and a computer station in the other corner.
When asked what was their favorite part of this house, Tess said, “Well, the whole thing to be honest. We were actually thinking of giving this place up because we had it for a while and were getting tired of it. We decided to redo it instead, to see if liked it more. We had a friend come and redecorate for us. Now the place looks totally different and we love it.”
I am not sure which they love more.. the home itself or the lovely area that it resides in. Maybe you should check out and decide for yourself which you like more.
