Art Galleries of Bellisseria

This is a directory of Resident-Owned Art Galleries on the Linden Continent of Bellisseria in Second Life®. As it's against the covenant in Bellisseria to sell anything (including art) or to solicit donations for personal gain or otherwise, their owners have given up some or all of their LI allowance to exhibit art for the enjoyment of their fellow-residents. LEGAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

We will not list any gallery that is infringing the Intellectual Property (IP) rights of artists. We love art and will always try to defend the rights of artists to profit from their talent. We have ourselves been the victims of fraud in SL by avis passing off the work of others as their own. We notified the artist in question as soon as we became aware to give him chance to defend his intellectual property. It is our policy ALWAYS to do so. If we detect any such breach when visiting your gallery, we will do the same so DON'T STEAL INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY.

That said, we are providing this directory at our own expense as a service to the SL community We therefore take no responsibility for any IP breaches at the listed galleries. We make no legal representations as to ownership of IP in the artworks exhibited there and accept no liability of any kind. If you cannot accept this condition, please do not use the directory.

If alerted to an infringement of IP rights, we will de-list the gallery concerned forthwith.

NOTE: Linden Labs will take no action against copyright violators unless they receive a notice under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). DCMA notice can be given on their website.

Please note that we will only list non-commercial galleries. Any attempt to sell art in Bellisseria or to solicit donations (whether for personal profit or otherwise) is in breach of covenant. It's not our job to enforce covenant, but we will not send people to a place that is in breach. Please don't complain if we refuse to list you for this reason. Believe us, if you are in breach, you really don't want visitors who might file an Abuse Report.
